War in Ukraine Archives is an independent digital repository dedicated to documenting the Russian-Ukrainian war from its earliest days. Our mission is to provide Western audiences with a granular, day-by-day look at the battlefield and the geopolitical shifts defining this conflict.
While mainstream media covers the war, reporting is often fragmented or delayed. Critical insights into the state of the front lines and the internal stability of the Russian regime frequently reach the West only after the fact. We created this project to bridge that gap — providing real-time, comprehensive context for those who need to understand the full picture.
Project Sections
The War Archive: A chronological deep dive into every single day of the conflict, starting from the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.
The War Today: Real-time coverage and situational updates, beginning from May 2026.
Beyond the Frontlines: Analysis of the “ripple effects”—economics, global policy, and regional stability.
The Z-Whining: A curated collection of posts from Russian pro-war propagandists and military bloggers. Why follow them? While their rhetoric is biased, their admissions of failure regarding logistics, morale, and internal politics serve as a vital “canary in the coal mine” for the regime’s true state.
Author’s Perspective: Reflections and commentary based on a synthesis of data from leading Russian opposition and OSINT sources.
Sources and Methodology
To ensure accuracy and depth, I aggregate data from recognized experts who monitor the conflict daily:
- Michael Nacke: A prominent political journalist and OSINT analyst who has been covering the war continuously since Day 1. He provides comprehensive analysis of all internal and external developments related to the conflict and actively hosts daily crowdfunding campaigns to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Crucially, these funds are transferred directly to the respective military units without any financial intermediation by Michael himself. Direct donation links, along with dedicated cryptocurrency wallet addresses for these fundraisers, are regularly provided in his video descriptions. Michael’s YouTube →
- Ruslan Leviev & The Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT): An independent military analyst and the founder of CIT, one of the premier open-source intelligence investigative groups tracking the conflict. CIT provides rigorous, data-driven daily battlefield overviews and verified frontline mapping. CIT x.com →
- Vladimir Milov: An opposition politician and economic expert who provides deep-dive, high-level analysis on Russia’s financial sector, domestic politics, and geopolitical standing. Vladimir’s YouTube →
- Ivan Philippov: Author of the widely respected Telegram channel “All Quiet on the Vvvvvestern Front.” A specialist in monitoring and deconstructing Kremlin propaganda, he daily monitors hundreds of pro-war Russian “Z-channels” to map the internal fractures and morale collapses within the enemy’s ecosystem. Please note that English is not my native language. To break the language barrier effectively and ensure these critical insights reach a global audience, I utilize advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist with translating, adapting, and structuring the raw Russian-language expert materials. However, every piece of content is thoroughly reviewed and cross-checked manually to maintain the absolute precision, tone, and context of the original source materials.
Behind the Project
I am an individual who could no longer remain a silent observer of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Since 2023, I have closely monitored the erosion of stability in Russia and the devastation in Ukraine. I stand firmly with Ukraine and seek the end of the war and the current Putin regime.
A Note on Security
I operate independently in an environment where dissent is dangerous. For my own safety and the longevity of this project, I remain anonymous.
Our Goal
My vision is to scale this project into a platform that provides tangible support to Ukraine, eventually organizing direct fundraising for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian efforts.
